Designed to be operated in deep mines, the TOP GUN is a self contained
unit. With its on board concrete pump, compressor and water pump
this articulated vehicle can
"reach the parts that others can not".
Main Components
The TOPGUN consists of the following equipment to perform the following
functions.....
- Caterpillar water cooled 6 cylinder turbo charged diesel engine
of 110 kW
- Four wheel drive carrier rated to a speed of 24 kph.
- Concrete pump rated at 30 M3 per hour.
- Air compressor rated at 425 CFM
- Robotic shotcrete boom rated at 10 metres vertical with a
65mm delivery line.
- Radio cordless remote control module.
- 5 kVA diesel powered 240 Volt alternator.
- High pressure water pump.
- High pressure water blaster/cleaner.
- Hopper remixer.
Articulated Joint
The wheel hubs and the articulated joints are the key components of
the TOPGUN carrier.
The articulated joint links the front and the rear modules together
in a ridged manner on the horizontal plane, providing a pivot twist
and steering action to allow the TOPGUN chassis to transverse irregular
surfaces.
