Applications:
Slurries to 20mm aggregate mixes, slabs, decks, footings, lightweight,
shotcrete, mud jacking, pressure grouting, masonry grout and tiebacks.
The Alpha
- a new Hydraulic Pea- Rock pump that operates without balls has
been developed by Transcrete America in response to requests by
its many small line concrete pumpers wishing to combat the harsher,
lower slump, 1/2 inch minus rock mixes, engineers and contractors
are now specifying to reduce cracking.
The ALPHA range features a direct flow 4 1/2 inch to 3 inch cast
steel 'S- Tube' concrete valve. Alpha pumps field tested by Transcrete
America's dealer network in a wide range of such diverse markets
as Florida, South Carolina and California have exceeded the dealers
wildest expectations. Jobs such as shotcrete, blockfilling and deck
slabs were pumped with the harshest mixes the industry could supply.
The Alpha handled it all, pumping the lower slump, harsher mixes
with ease.
Specification wise, the Alpha comes in three models ranging from
the 3 inch bore P 10 model rated at 10 cubic yards per hour, the
4 1/2 inch bore P 20 model rated at 20 cubic yards per hour, on
up to the 5 inch bore P 25 model rated at 25 cubic yards per hour.
All models have the same 2 1/2 inch hydraulic cylinders with 24
inch stroke. The S- Tube is the standard 4 1/2 inch by 3 inch type,
however Transcrete America has also produced a 3 inch x 3 inch S-
Tube for refactory applications and a special S- Tube with 4 1/2
inch x 4 inch S- tube to handle 3/4 mixes. The optional size S-
Tubes can be ordered at no extra cost. Dealers will stock conversion
kits as well to assist any pumpers that come up against a specific
pumping application.
Transcrete America is looking to release the Alpha models with
a price list starting at around the price of a diesel powered mechanical
ball valve. The Alpha is powered by a range of air cooled German
diesels starting at the 30 Hp model up to a 60 Hp model. A unique
one piece 'monoblock' hydraulic brain is tank top mounted and contains
all the Alpha's 'dual circuit' hydraulic components. The directional
valves, relief and unloader valves, stop start and reverse function
are all contained in the compact 'monoblock ' manifold. The accumulator
dump valve operates off the engine key as well as the 'E' stop button.
The compact 'monoblock' brain eliminates 60% of the hydraulic hoses
found on most concrete pumps yet is about the same size as a chocolate
box.
The Alpha is mounted on a single axle trailer, easy to tow and
weighs around 2,000 pounds subject to buyer's final specifications.
